As of 1905 the
Allan House was occupied by the family of Paul M. Deats,
with 6 members.
Most of the other buildings on the block were home to African-American
families, including the Malinda Dickson household at 1101 Nueces, with 6
members; the Margaret Davis household at 506 W.11th, with 4 members; and the
Allen Dunkum household at 1108 San Antonio, also with 4 members.
